Senior Build and Deployment Automation Engineers

Stelligent is the leader in Software Delivery Automation and is seeking Senior Build and Deployment Automation Engineers with Java or .NET experience to help our customers deliver robust solutions. We help our customers automate development and production environments that deliver production-ready software every day.

As a Senior Build and Deployment Automation Engineer for Stelligent, you will:

  • Help transform customer teams through build and deployment automation
  • Work with diverse tools, platforms and companies
  • Have the opportunity to travel locally and abroad
  • Build expertise in the latest tools and technologies
  • Work closely with established automation experts
  • Continually see the tangible results of your work

We are currently seeking candidates with some combination of the following:

  • Software Engineering or Systems Operations Engineering expertise
  • Experience across software development lifecycle: development, testing, configuration management, deployment, etc.
  • Experience in Java or .NET platforms
  • Use of build languages such as Ant, NAnt, MsBuild, Gant, Gradle, rake, etc.
  • Use of deployment tools such as Puppet, CfEngine, Bcfg2, Capistano, SmartFrog, etc.
  • Use of version-control systems such as Subversion, CVS, Perforce, AccuRev, etc.
  • SQL (DDL and DML) scripting. Experience in different database platforms. Use of automated database upgrade tools is helpful. Tools such as Liquibase, RedGate, dbdeploy, etc.
  • Writing automating unit tests (JUnit, NUnit, MsTest, etc.)
  • Experience on Agile (Scrum, eXtreme Programming, etc.) projects
  • Experience working with all teams in an organization: Development, Operations, QA, Management, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of operating system scripting and commands such as *nix-based systems (Linux, Unix and Mac) and Windows
  • Knowledge of code quality analysis tools. Examples include code coverage, code duplication, cyclomatic complexity, dependency analysis and coding standards
  • Automated deployment of Web containers such as JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, etc.
  • Dependency management. Example tools include Apache Ivy and Maven.
  • Automated software installation using tools such as InstallShield, IzPack, etc.
  • Build Management tools and practices. Tools such as AntHill Pro, BuildForge, Electric Commander and ParaBuild
  • Continuous Integration practices and tools. Tools such as Hudson, CruiseControl, Luntbuild, Team Foundation Server
  • Release Management and Configuration Management practices such as parallel development (tagging, branching, etc.), managing versions and third party libraries
  • Ability to work and communicate in diverse client environments
